Privacy Policy

This policy explains the limited information used by Adrian Residents Directory and the choices available to visitors. The service is a reference to public records and historic collections in Adrian, Michigan. It does not require an account or keep a personal directory profile about visitors.

Information You Provide

A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is submitted to the third-party provider serving that result. Adrian Residents Directory does not retain a copy of search terms on its own servers. When someone sends a message, we receive the content of that message and use it to respond.

Automatic Technical Data

Hosting services keep routine logs such as IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand readership. Cookies or comparable tools may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.

How Limited Data Is Used

Limited data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.

Outside Services and Links

County and state portals, library collections, archives, and sponsored search tools are outside services. Their own privacy rules govern information submitted to them. That includes sponsored results provided by a third-party company.

Parties That May Process Data

Hosting and support providers process server logs for the service. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it and not otherwise.

Security and Retention

The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described above. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or on-site user profiles to expose.

Visitors Under 18

This service is for adults and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if a minor has sent information so it can be deleted.

Choices About Your Data

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about personal data retained by a website. Michigan did not have an enacted comprehensive consumer-data privacy statute in the official material reviewed as of August 26, 2026. Because this service retains little data, a request generally involves the contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Michigan, Lenawee County, or Adrian offices are outside our control; requests about those records belong with the custodian. Michigan Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.231 et seq., governs access requests to public bodies where applicable.

Policy Changes

Policy revisions will be posted here. Continued use after a revision means acceptance of the updated policy.
